Following from the first season, Home Before Dark‘s sophomore run will focus on a new mystery plaguing Eerie Harbor, one that will tie into the first season’s questions about Richie and what happened to him after he vanished that fateful night all those years ago. At the end of the first season, it was established that Richie might have actually managed to escape.

The show’s second season will continue following intrepid young reporter Hilde Lisko (based on real-life journalist Hilde Lysiak) as she investigates a mysterious explosion at a local farm and realizes that something in Eerie Harbor is making people very sick. Could Richie have seen something he shouldn’t have, resulting in his disappearance?
