Strap in for a new interstellar adventure! Star Trek: Prodigy is coming soon, and it’s got a voice cast that’s out of this world.

The series is set to premiere on Paramount+ at a yet-to-be announced date. But we do have a voice cast, as confirmed by a press release published on StarTrek.com.

In alphabetical order, the cast of Star Trek: Prodigy includes Rylee Alazraqui from Home Economics, On My Block’s Brett Gray, The Crown’s Angus Imrie, Jason Mantzoukas from Big Mouth, Ella Purnell of Army of the Dead, and Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of the clone troopers in Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

The Star Trek Twitter page also shared a graphic outlining the characters the cast will be voicing. The press release shared more details about the characters’ personalities and what fans can expect from them in the show.

Star Trek: Prodigy: Introducing the characters

Partway through 2020, it was announced that Kate Mulgrew would return to voice Captain Janeway in Star Trek: Prodigy. Captain Janeway will appear as a training hologram in the series.

We also knew that the show was aimed at younger audiences, the first Star Trek property created specifically for that audience. Now we know who the characters are.

Alazraqui will voice Rok-Tahk, an eight-year-old with a fierce love for animals. Gray will voice Dal, a 17-year-old maverick with unknown origins who is always hopeful. Imrie will voice the energy-based lifeform Zero. Purnell voices 17-year-old Gwyn who dreams of adventure.

Rounding off the characters are Mantzoukas, who will voice Jankom Pog, an argumentative Tellarite, and Baker will voice Murf, an indestructible interstellar blob who eats ship parts.

The unlikely group of youngsters will be searching for a better life in Star Trek: Prodigy and will come together, and learn about Starfleet, on the way.
