A Million Little Things Season 3 concluded last week leaving us with an O-M-G moment that will have us talking for months. A lot has gone down during the course of the third season, with the main plot revolving around Sophie (Lizzy Greene) dealing with the trauma of her assault.

The series also dealt with the Black Lives Matter movement along with the COVID-19 pandemic. A lot was jam-packed into the third season, and I must say, they did a wonderful job with it. Nothing felt rushed, overdone, or ignored. Every story got its time to grow and develop, and the series had a solid opportunity to properly flesh out its characters.

Eddie (David Giuntoli) and Katherine (Grace Park) dealt with their separation while Regina (Christina Moses) and Rome (Romany Malco) struggled to come to terms with George Floyd’s murder. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a season, and it ended on a very scary and dramatic note.

So without further ado, let’s talk about all the major moments of the A Million Little Things Season 3 finale! Trust me–there’s plenty to talk about.

A Million Little Things Season 3 finale recap: Gary takes matters into his own hands

Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) has been showing signs of aggression through the course of the third season, especially after Sophie’s assault. He blames himself for what happened and hasn’t been able to forgive himself ever since.

There’s been plenty of moments when he was ready to go after Peter (Andrew Leeds) and take him down for how he hurt Sophie. He was always stopped by someone else, but in the season 3 finale, he longer has the patience to stay quiet.

With his father as his alibi, Gary heads over to Peter’s house and puts a bag over his head, pushing him into his house. Whether or not Gary will go as far as to kill Peter is to be seen, but something tells me, he’s going to get awfully close.

This is going to drastically affect the entire group’s dynamic moving forward, especially Gary’s relationship with Darcy (Floriana Lima). They had just made the decision to move to Lenox together, but after whatever Gary is doing, I’m finding that less and less likely.

Tune in to season 4 to see how this all goes down for Gary!

A Million Little Things Season 3 finale recap: Delilah’s return

After being gone all season, Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) returns for the season 3 finale, after being in France. It’s nice to see her back with the kids in their home, but something feels different. There’s always that post-vacation sadness, so I chopped it up to that. But more on that in a bit.

With Delilah back, Sophie decides that she is ready to go to the police station to report Peter. Regina, Maggie (Allison Miller), and Delilah accompany Sophie, but before going in Regina has a panic attack after bumping into a police officer. It took her back to the moment the police assaulted her during the protest, so she opts to not go into the station.

Sophie’s bravery doesn’t pay off in the way she had hoped for because the odds are stacked against her. Not only did she text a racy picture of herself to Peter after their encounter, but he played it smart and texted her back asking not to talk to him again. The police officer said they have little to go off of, but he believes Sophie 100%.

He may not be able to help her, but now that they have a report on Peter, they’ll be able to punish him if someone else reports him. It’s not the victory they were hoping for, but Sophie is given the reassurance that everyone is on her side.

While Sophie is thankful for Delilah’s return, things take a drastic turn when Danny (Chance Hurstfield) learns that she intends on moving them to France. She doesn’t feel happy in their home anymore and is haunted by Jon’s (Ron Livingston) memories. In France, no one knew her as the woman whose husband took his life and as the woman who had an affair with the best friend and had his child. In all honesty, I get it, but it’s not fair to up and move the kids,

Eddie is equally pissed to learn that Charlie could be taken away from him too, and Gary completely lashes out on Delilah for complaining about her life. Watching Delilah’s emotional breakdown broke my heart, but I think it’s been a long time coming and was necessary.

A Million Little Things Season 3 finale recap: Regina closes Someday

After a rough year with the COVID-19 pandemic, Regina decides to close Someday. It’s not what she would have wanted for herself but things have only gotten harder since her concussion. Despite this setback, I do look forward to seeing what she does next.

Meanwhile, Rome and Tyrell (Adam Swain) learn who actually reported Tyrell’s mom to ICE. Tyrell thought he knew who it was, and went to confront multiple people, but in the end, he learned it was actually because of him.

His mom never drove out of the fear that she would get pulled over and found out. She only drove in emergencies, and the day she got caught, she was rushing to the post office to submit an application for him. Poor Tyrell, I truly felt for the guy at that moment.

A Million Little Things Season 3 finale recap: Eddie and Katherine’s agreement

Eddie and Katherine have been fighting over potential custody issues for Theo (Tristan Byon), but in the season 3 finale, they finally come to an agreement. But before that, Eddie thinks about blackmailing Katherine after Theo burns his hand under her watch.

He gets her to send pictures and videos as asked by his lawyer, and the plan was to use that against her in court. Ultimately, Eddie decided against that and instead drew up his own papers. He would agree to weekly drug tests in exchange for watching Theo unsupervised. If even one drug test came back positive, he would relinquish custody forever to Katherine.

I’m not sure how I feel about this, but if he feels confident, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
