Trying Season 2 premiered on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 21, 2021, with two new episodes and the finale recently debuted on Friday, July 2. Now, fans are wondering if and when Trying Season 3 is happening.

The British comedy series has received almost unanimous critical acclaim since it initially debuted in 2020. A second season was ordered very quickly, revealed to already be in development with the first season premiered.

BBC and Apple Inc. had started working on a new comedy show in 2019, Trying is the second co-production between the companies.

Apple TV+ was surprisingly able to get a second of the series starring Rafe Spall and Esther Smith produced and released just a little over one year after the initial premiere, which is pretty impressive given the pandemic.

Will there be a Season 3 of Trying?

Yes! Trying Season 3 is officially happening at Apple TV+. Similar to the first season, Deadline reported that Apple had renewed the show for a third go-round even before the second season premiere. So it seems like Apple is very confident in the series as a whole.

Apple seems to know it has a hit on its hand as fans have become very attached to the leading characters of Nikki and Jason and their continued journey to have a family. The series has consistently received praise for the way it unflinchingly navigates the adoption process and its challenges.

It’s not yet clear how many episodes will be in the third season, although I imagine it will be eight episodes like the first two seasons of the show. Apple also hasn’t said when Trying Season 3 will premiere but if I had to guess I would say May 2022, since that would track with the previous two premiere dates. Stay tuned to Show Snob for more updates on the show.

For now, you can watch Trying anytime on Apple TV+, the first seasons are now streaming in full.
