HBO’s buzzy new limited series The White Lotus premieres tonight, Sunday, July 11, from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on the premium cable channel. The series premiere is rated TV-MA for adult content, adult language, and nudity. It will run for approximately 54 minutes.
As those who frequently watch HBO know by now, the episode will also be available to watch on demand from the HBO app and HBO Max at the same time it premieres linearly. You can watch it on the regular HBO channel, and it will be simulcast on HBO LATINO.
The White Lotus is a satire comedy with a stacked cast of A-listers including Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady, Natasha Rothwell, Sydney Sweeney, and Steve Zahn.
It follows a group of guests at a tropical resort in Hawaii over the course of a week. Already, the series is getting great buzz from critics and currently has a Certified Fresh seal of approval at Rotten Tomatoes with an 85% approval rating.
What is The White Lotus Season 1, Episode 1 about?
The first episode of the show is written and directed by creator Mike White. A new wave of guests starts to arrive at the White Lotus Resort, and manager Armond (Bartlett) is immediately put to work trying to deal with an unreasonable guest named Shane (Lacy) and his new wife Rachel (Daddario).

Elsewhere, spa director Belinda has her hands full with a grieving woman named Tanya (Coolidge). Nicole (Britton) and her husband Mark (Zahn) are trying to distract themselves from a health scare by spending quality time with their children, including loner son Quinn (Hechinger) and their daughter Olivia (Sweeney) who prefers spending time with her friend Paula (O’Grady).
