Schmigadoon! sneak peek clip ahead of the musical comedy’s global debut

Schmigadoon Apple TV is making its global debut exclusively on Apple TV+ this Friday! The highly-anticipated musical comedy features a star-studded cast with Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Fred Armisen, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski and Ann Harada.
The upcoming series is a parody of the iconic Golden Age musicals and stars Strong and Key as a couple on a backpacking trip that accidentally discovers a magical town living in a 1940s musical. While there, the couple finds that they won’t be able to leave the town until they find “true love.”
Ahead of the series premiere this Friday, Apple TV+ has shared a sneak peek from the first episode which you can watch below.

As you can see from the clip, Melissa (Strong) and Josh (Key) are in for a shock as they arrive in this singing small town with air as sweet as a macaroon and sun that shines from July to June. The above clip shows the chorus singing “Welcome to Our Little Town” while giving the newcomers a warm welcome.
Melissa assumes this is just something they do to entice tourists, like Colonial Williamsburg, but Josh doesn’t seem all that enthused by the theatrics.
When does Schmigadoon Apple TV premiere?
Schmigadoon! will premiere Friday, July 16 with two episodes and then follow that with one new episode weekly every Friday through August 13. The six-episode season first season has already received critical acclaim and is currently sitting at an 82% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes.
