Love, Victor has been renewed for a third season at Hulu
By Mads Lennon
Good news for fans of Love, Victor! After a strong sophomore run, the series will officially be back for another season at the streaming service, Variety reported. For those who have been keeping up, the second season officially premiered this past June. Both seasons have consisted of 10 episodes.
Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino) is a new student at Creekwood High who has to deal with immense stress at home from moving to rural Texas from Atlanta in addition to struggling with his sexuality. The series is a spinoff of the successful film Love, Simon with Nick Robinson returning to his reprise his role in a narrative role as his character communicates with Victor.
Throughout the first two seasons, Victor reaches out to Simon for advice, since Simon dealt with something similar during his time at Creekwood. During the second season, Victor had to deal with being the only openly gay athlete at his school and battling an evolving love triangle.
Ultimately, the second season ended on a cliffhanger just like the first. Thankfully, fans don’t have to worry about it ending that way as the series and its characters will be back for more adventures.
When will Love, Victor Season 3 premiere on Hulu?
Since the renewal news just broke today, it’s too early to tell exactly when the show is going to return. However, it seems likely that Hulu will want to continue a summer rollout for Love, Victor. It makes sense it makes sense for the show to keep premiering in June as it is Pride Month.
The first two seasons both aired in June so it’s likely we’ll see the third season air around the same time in 2022, as long as COVID doesn’t impact filming and production.
