This Is Us alum Ron Cephas Jones to appear on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2

This Is Us star and Emmy Award-winning actor Ron Cephas Jones is set to appear in a recurring role opposite Chris Meloni in the upcoming second season of NBC series Law & Order: Organized Crime, reports Deadline. The actor is joining the show alongside British actor Vinnie Jones, best known for The Big Ugly.

The crime drama created by Dick Wolf is the latest in a long line of spinoffs within the Law & Order universe. Given the return of Meloni as Elliot Stabler, fans have been going crazy over the new series, which has featured several scenes between former partners Stabler and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

Organized Crime is about Stabler’s return to the NYPD after experiencing a devastating loss. He realizes the city and police department have changed drastically during his time away and he must adapt quickly to the ever-changing scene, including the increase of organized crime. All the while Stabler is trying to rebuild his life and lead an elite task force to take apart the city’s most notable criminal syndicates.

Who will Ron Cephas Jones play in Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2?

Cephas Jones has been cast as Congressman Leon Kilbride crafty politician known for playing his cards right and cultivating important connections. Fellow newcomer Jones will play European gangster, Albi Briscu.

It’s not clear exactly what episode these new characters will be introduced, but they will appear in a recurring capacity not as regulars so likely not every episode of the new season. Organized Crime is set to return this September. You can catch up on the series through Peacock and Hulu.
