Octavia Spencer-led thriller Truth Be Told returns tomorrow (or tonight if you’re feeling up to it) on Apple TV+ for its second season. Spencer returns as true crime podcaster Poppy Parnell. Kate Hudson joins her as Poppy’s childhood best friend, Micah Keith.

What is Truth Be Told Season 2 about?

As you might have guessed by the trailer for this season, Poppy is thrown for a loop when her old friend Micah returns to town for a big event celebrating her novel. A lifestyle guru and wellness coach, Micah appears to have it all: Success, money, love, but then a tragedy strikes at the end of the first episode that threatens to ruin her carefully constructed life.

Poppy is pulled back into the drama as Micah requests her assistance in solving a murder. Together they must face the darkness that surrounds them, but will their friendship survive the upheaval?

Fans of the show will also be pleased to know that loose ends from the first season are addressed here and play a part in the second season as it unfolds despite the anthology format.
