3. Tony goes to kill the goat

After a meager smoothie, a lack of pain meds, and a riveting sack race, Tony is understandably getting a little hangry. Famished for some protein, when he sees a goat, he finds a loophole in the whole “living off the land” philosophy they’re told to have and goes to hunt it. Eventually, we find out Napoleon is the one to kill the goat, but we’re not sure Masha — who’s clearly attached to the animal and shaken by its death — is going to care much who’s responsible.

2. Napoleon breaks down at dinner

Though it seems like Heather is taking her son’s death the hardest, it quickly becomes apparent that guilt is eating away at Napoleon, too. In what might be the most emotionally poignant moment of these first three episodes, he breaks down, saying how much he regrets sleeping in the day of Zach’s death. If he didn’t, he thinks he might have been able to prevent his tragic end.

1. “Are you medicating us?”

Every episode has ended with a juicy cliffhanger, but the end of episode three might be the most jaw-dropping of them all. After the emotional goat dinner, Heather starts putting the pieces together, pointedly asking Masha if they’re being medicated. From Masha’s disturbing reaction, we think she just might be onto something…and everyone else just might be on something.
