Let’s look at 5 important things to remember before Sex Education Season 3

When it comes to coming-of-age shows, there are not many more real and accurate shows than Sex EducationThis British Netflix series, created by Laurie Nunn, has captivated audiences since it premiered in January 2019.

Although the show is all about high school-aged kids, the stories and themes portrayed throughout the episodes can resonate with anyone who watches the students of Moordale Secondary School. This Netflix show can be raunchy, gross, and perverted, but it does this all in the successful guise of comedy.

Since this show has been going strong for two years and has a delayed third season due to the ongoing pandemic, there might be some things that viewers will have forgotten when September 17th rolls around. Luckily for all of you beautiful people, I am here to help and remind everyone of the biggest talking points from the first two seasons.

5. Update on Moordale’s love affairs

Before Sex Education Season 3, let’s get an update on Moordale’s love affairs. Like any popular television show, romantic relationships have been at a constant throughout the first two seasons. Following the show’s sophomore season, the established relationships are Ola (Patricia Allison) & Lily (Tanya Reynolds), along with Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) & Adam (Connor Swindells).

I honestly still do not know how I feel about Adam and Eric being together and its message to young queer folk, so I am very hopeful that the writers will drift away from how they wrote Adam’s sexuality before.

While these two pairings seem natural, it is kind of wild that these are the only two romantic relationships entering the new season. Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling) and Viv (Chinenye Ezeudu) look to be plutonic going forward, especially with the unique teaser trailer alluding to Jackson getting cozy with the new Headmistress.

And then the most prominent romantic pairing has been between Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Mackey), but they have had some major speedbumps like…
