4. This Is Us

Again, This Is Us isn’t necessarily a distinct cozy autumn show, but it promotes the general vibes we look for in a good autumnal series. Similar to The Good Wife, This Is Us is one of the few shows on network TV that has garnered significant acclaim in recent years.

Of course, the only difference is that This Is Us is still airing, at least, for one more season. Curl up on your couch with the Pearson family and shed some tears because This Is Us is sure to put you in the mood for cooler weather and the leaves changing color. Among the many awards This Is Us has been nominated for, Sterling K. Brown and Ron Cephas Jones won Primetime Emmys for their acting.

This Is Us is streaming on Hulu, Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video.

3. Friday Night Lights

Nothing says cozy autumn shows like Friday night football. The entire premise of Friday Night Lights is the high school football season which takes place in the fall! I don’t know about you, but I always looked forward to attending football games in high school, although it was more about hanging out with my friends than actually watching the sport.

Even if you aren’t into football, Friday Night Lights is a compelling small-town drama with excellent acting performances and riveting storylines (usually). Plus, you can’t go wrong with Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. Unfortunately, Friday Night Lights was robbed of most awards during its run, but Chandler finally won an Emmy in 2011 for his performance as Coach Taylor.

Friday Night Lights is streaming on Hulu, Netflix, and Peacock.
