Sex Education Season 3 trailer, release date, and synopsis
Here it is, finally. After the first two seasons premiered in January of their respected years, Sex Education Season 3 is finally premiering this September. Like many television shows, the production of this Netflix show had delays and push-backs, but it is finally ready to be seen by audiences. After being leaked on the internet last week, the official Sex Education trailer is here for all of us ahead of the Season 3 premiere next week.
Sex Education Season 3 trailer
So ya, there is a lot to unpack here in this two-minute and forty-second video. First off, Otis’ mustache has been given its rightful spotlight and also deservedly ragged on. That thing on his upper lip looks like some eyelashes fell, and he is calling it facial hair.
This obviously is a not-so-subtle way of showing audiences how mature Otis is feeling and how mature he wants to be. Maeve broke his heart at the end of Season 2, so he is trying to cope with this devastation.
Sex Education Season 3: The tension between Otis and Maeve
Speaking of Maeve, she is still going strong as Aimee’s best friend. The two look to have moved on from public transportation with Aimee’s new car, and I am here for it. I have no idea why Steve has a goat in the back seat, but I am here for it. The tension between Maeve and Otis in this trailer is palpable, and I love it.
The teasing that the writers and showrunners have been doing for these two have been well crafted, and I am confident they know what they are doing. Some speed bumps look to be occurring this season, like the wheelchair devil Isaac for Maeve and the Untouchable Ruby for Otis, but I have a feeling these two ships won’t be passing in the night come to the end of this third season.
The biggest change that every student looks to be undergoing is the new Headmistress with Hope Haddon. Sex has gone rampant at Moordale, and it looks like Haddon is bringing some Old Testament flair to this school and attempting to put fear in her new students. How this will go is yet to be unseen, but I do not think these Moordale students will like it very much.
Hope Hadden looks to have the adorableness of Sister Maria but the cold and heartless behavior of Captain Von Trapp. This is a substantial change of pace from the former headmaster in Michael Groff, who everyone knew was a pushover when it came down to it, but Hope Hadden does not look to have this quality within her.
There is so much more included in this upcoming season that I have no idea what to expect fully. However, this means we all get to find out together when the third season of Sex Education releases next week on Netflix.
