Peacock has unveiled some new key art, an official release date, and the trailer for their upcoming teen murder mystery series One of Us is Lying, based on Karen M. McManus’s best-selling novel of the same name. What is the show about? When will it premiere? We have all the details you’ll need below.
The new show has been described as having elements of classics like I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Breakfast Club. The show is narrated by the victim, Simon, a Gen-Z gossip who frequently broadcasts his classmate’s secrets to the school. Then one day, someone kills him.
This young adult show coming to Peacock next month is from Universal Content Productions and follows five Bayview High students. After Simon dies, the remaining students become the main suspects in his murder. Darío Madrona serves as showrunner

The eight-episode show will air over three weeks in October, premiering on October 7. New episodes will stream on Thursdays.

One of Us Is Lying synopsis: What is the show about?
Five students, Simon, Bronwyn, Nate, Addy, and Cooper, receive detention. Simon, known for spreading harmful gossip with his friend Janae to snitch on his classmates, suddenly has a fatal allergic reaction and dies. The four other students all have motives for wanting Simon dead and once it is determined that his death wasn’t an accident, they become the main suspects in the investigation. But is someone framing them for his murder?
