The winner of the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series has been announced at the Emmys 2021. But before we get into the award winner, we’re going to highlight who was the favorite and discuss some of the nominees.

Evan Peters was one of the favorites to win tonight in this category for his performance in Mare of Easttown which allowed fans to see a much different side of him than they have in recent years given his regular status on American Horror Story. Fans quickly got attached to his character on the show.

Peters’s biggest competition was Paapa Essiedu, who delivered a phenomenal performance in the HBO series I May Destroy You alongside fellow nominee Michaela Coel who also received a lot of critical acclaim since she starred, wrote, directed, and produced the series.

Anthony Ramos, Daveed Diggs and Jonathan Groff were all nominated in this category for Hamilton on Disney+, although the feelings on those nominations received a mixed reaction. Thomas Brodie-Sangster was also nominated for his work on The Queen’s Gambit.

Evan Peters has won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his excellent work in Mare of Easttown. This was the actor’s first official Emmy win. His co-star Julianne Nicholason won the award for Supporting Actress in a Limited Series and Kate Winslet won for Lead Actress.
