EPIX dramedy Bridge and Tunnel Season 2 starts production

EPIX’s dramedy Bridge and Tunnel has officially started production on its second season. Bridge and Tunnel Season 2 will consist of six episodes, like the first season. Edward Burns is returning to write, direct and produce the show alongside his producing partner Aaron Lubin.

The half-hour dramedy series is set in the early 1980s. It centers on a group of recent college graduates who want to pursue their big Manhatann dreams but can’t let go of the familiarity of their home in working-class Long Island. Sam Vartholomeos, Caitlin Stasey, Gigi Zumbado, JanLuis Castellanos, Brian Muller and Isabella Farrell star.

While the series is currently in production for its second season, we haven’t gotten any details about the plot or if there have been any casting additions. Hopefully, we’ll start finding out more details within the next few months.

Bridge and Tunnel Season 2 starts production

The new season has started production in New York, eyeing a 2022 return. Since the first season premiered in January this year, it’s likely the new season will also have an early debut next year. Burns, who starred in the show’s first season, along with writing, producing and directing, is set to return.

In addition to Burns, the series is also executive produced by Aaron Lubin (Something Borrowed, Public Morals) and Lori Keith Douglas (The Village, Friends from College).  Bridge and Tunnel are produced by EPIX Studios and is internationally distributed by MGM.

Edward Burns and Aaron Lubin have been producing partners at Marlboro Road Gang Productions for the past 20 years and recently completed Burns’ 13th feature, Beneath the Blue Suburban Skies, which premiered to outstanding reviews at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
