This season of Truth Be Told tells a new mystery. Poppy’s  (Octavia Spencer) childhood best friend Micah (Kate Hudson) returns, and not long after, her husband Joshua is brutally murdered under strange circumstances. Already we’ve learned that Joshua had a secret kid named Drew, who was tragically murdered alongside him.

Like Season 1, Poppy is covering this new mystery on her podcast, Reconsidered, at the behest of Micah. But as of the most recent episode, Micah seems to be having some regrets about asking Poppy to dig into all of her secrets.

Season 2, Episode 6, “All These Women,” begins after that major fallout between Micah and Poppy from the previous episode. Based on the vicious words exchanged between the two of them at the ending diner scene, it doesn’t seem like they can ever become friends again.

While we don’t know the full extent of what happened between them, it appears that Miss Shirley might have abused young Poppy.
