The highly anticipated series premiere of CSI: Vegas debuts tonight! Find out what the first episode is about and how you can watch it live.

A limited series and sequel epilogue to the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Vegas will be the fifth series overall in the franchise. William Petersen and Jorja Fox will return as Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle, reprising their roles from CSI.

Other actors set to reprise their roles are Wallace Langham as David Hodges and Paul Guilfoyle as Jim Brass. Actors new to the franchise include Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.

Initially, this ten-episode show was going to premiere in October 2020 to mark the 20th anniversary of the CSI franchise, but COVID-19 caused the production to stall and resulted in it being delayed to this year.

CBS has kept the plot details to a minimum, but we know that the team will face an “existential threat,” and someone is explicitly targeting Jim Brass. The new season will investigate a dangerous conspiracy.

The series will take place primarily in the Las Vegas lab, and we know that the new show will focus on many of the forensic breakthroughs and scientific techniques that have come into play since the show went off the air. Science and technology have evolved substantially since CSI last aired, which means there is plenty for the new show to utilize.

CSI: Vegas 2021 premiere date

The new crime television limited series is set to debut on CBS tonight, Wednesday, October 6. Originals from the long-running CSI will return for this show, which should be exciting for fans of the franchise.
