American Horror Story: Double Feature is rather…interesting in the back half of the tenth season, and that is all thanks to the introduction of aliens. I’m not that amused by this season at all, and I think it’s because the show has lost its glory.

As much as I want to enjoy it, I can’t because the thrill of the series is just no longer there. It’s nonsensical and drawn out for no reason, even though this week does kick off with two Presidents discussing how they can mimic the actions of one of the most notorious assassins.

Dwight Eisenhower (Neal McDonough) and Richard Nixon (Craig Sheffer) learn of JFK’s (Mike Vogel) plans to reveal a secret pact made between humans aliens. Basically, Eisenhower made a deal with the aliens where the humans could use their technology, and in exchange, the aliens could abduct around 5,000 humans per year.

JFK’s decision to do so came after some “special” time with Marilyn Monroe (Alisha Soper). Apparently, she had an encounter with aliens when she was younger, but of course, before JFK could ever reveal the secret to the world, he was killed.

American Horror Story: Double Feature Episode 8 recap: Aliens, aliens, aliens

I won’t get into the nitty-gritty details of the episode but it involved a lot of flashbacks. But what was really uncomfortable was the present day in which the four pregnant teens were trying to figure out how they ended up being pregnant in the first place.

They were impregnated with aliens (the guys and the girls) and we see them again this week heading to an OBGYN to find out what the heck is going on. When the ultrasound is done, it’s clear something strange is forming within their bodies, something strange like aliens.

The four of them are kidnapped while at the clinic and woke up to find themselves in some strange facility. It was all very strange and played out like a classic alien trope, but I wasn’t there for any of it. We did finally learn who Angelica Ross was playing in this part of the season, however.

As it turns out, she’s a human-alien hybrid and has one very creepy alien eye to boot.

Next. Prodigal Son, Lucifer and 16 shows canceled too soon at FOX. dark

Tune in next week to see how much weirder things will get.
