The top 5 The Walking Dead Season 11A moments
4. Leah Kills Pope
While Daryl continually tries to fit in with The Reapers, while hiding some heavy information about Maggie, he’s refused to give up on Leah. His attempts to bring out the woman he once knew seemed to have been working.
Leah repeatedly disagrees with Pope and even goes against his orders without his knowing. If there was one thing Leah and Daryl absolutely had in common it was their loyalty to their families.
But perhaps to a fault. As Maggie, Negan, Father Gabriel and Elijah lead walkers to Meridian, Pope is preparing to kill the walkers with a hwacha.
The trouble is there are several Reapers in the crosshairs. Pope had shown that he doesn’t mind sacrificing his own if it meant killing Maggie in the end.
Something Leah was getting tired of. When Daryl finally tells Leah the truth and begs her to come with him, she makes the decision to kill Pope.
But she doesn’t do so to leave The Reapers and join Daryl and his family. She kills Pope because he was killing her family.
She tells The Reapers that Daryl killed Pope making any chances that she and Daryl would be together again very small. But is Daryl finally giving up on her or is he still willing to fight to get her back?
3. Connie reunites with Kelly
On the more positive side of things, another woman Daryl has been trying to find has been found! Connie survived the cave collapse and was rescued by Virgil.
But before the two of them can rest easy they are chased and nearly killed inside an old mansion filled with cannibals! The experience is horrific for both, but once they finally manage to escape, it is Kelly who finds them first.
The moment the two sisters embrace is exactly the kind of thing Season 11 needed to remind fans that all is not lost, even when things seem most dark. When Daryl had been unable to look for Connie, Kelly continued to the point where Magna was worried Carol was giving her false hope.
But now we can see that Kelly’s efforts have not been in vain.
