Best Gilmore Girls fall episodes: season 3 episode 9: A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving

What’s it about: Round out the season 3 fall trifecta with one of the best Thanksgiving episodes of all time. Rory and Lorelai must split their Thanksgiving between the Kim household and their Tofurkey, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) and Jackson’s (Jackson Douglas) deep-fried fest, a quick stop at Luke’s, and a traditional feast at Richard and Emily’s. We’re hungry (yet already very full) just thinking about it.

Why it’s among the best Gilmore Girls fall episodes: This one should be pretty self-explanatory. It doesn’t get much more fall than Thanksgiving!

Best Gilmore Girls fall episodes: season 4 episode 9: Ted Koppel’s Big Night Out

What’s it about: Romance is in the air, with Paris (Liza Weil) beginning her romance with Asher Flemming (Michael York) and Lorelai contemplating her relationship with Jason (Christopher Eigeman). There’s also tension when, at the big Harvard/Yale game, Emily finds out about Richard’s decades-long lunches with former flame Pennilyn Lott (Linda Gehringer).

Why it’s among the best Gilmore Girls fall episodes: In a rare display of seasonal pride, Luke makes pumpkin pancakes! The majority of the episode also takes place at a football game, which is a staple of fall. It’s impossible not to get into the autumn spirit watching Emily Gilmore absolutely serve in a Yale crewneck.
