Huzzah! The Great season 2 is arriving soon! The outlandish, unpredictable, “occasionally true” dramedy will arrive on Hulu in just a few days. Read on to learn when you can watch it, what it will be about, new faces you can expect to see, and more!

When does The Great season 2 premiere?

The Great season 2 will premiere on Friday, November 19 on Hulu. Hulu usually drops their shows at 12 am ET/9 pm PT, so if you’re anxiously awaiting the second season, you can stay up late and catch the premiere before bed!

Will The Great release weekly or all at once?

Hulu sometimes releases shows on a weekly basis, but lucky for us, The Great is dropping all at once! You’ll be able to binge all 10 episodes at the same time, making this the perfect weekend to stay in and watch every hilarious, irreverent moment.

What is The Great season 2 about?

While season 1 followed Catherine as she attempted to take the throne from her husband Peter, The Great season 2 will see Catherine finally rise to power. But it’s not going to be completely smooth sailing. Catherine’s goal has always been to “free” Russia — a country that doesn’t necessarily want to be freed. Catherine will also grapple with ruling while pregnant and all the added pressures and challenges that come with that.

Who is in The Great season 2?

Several favorite characters will return for The Great season 2, including Elle Fanning as Catherine and Nicholas Hoult as Peter. Sebastian de Souza (as Catherine’s lover Leo), Phoebe Fox (Marial, Catherine’s servant and closest friend), Adam Godley (the archbishop), and Sacha Dhawan (shy, bookish Orlov) are all expected to come back as well.

In addition to the season 1 crew, Gillian Anderson will be joining the season 2 cast as Catherine’s mother. Something tells us she may bring along some conflicts of her own.
