The Morning Show season 2 finale is finally here, and like the rest of the season, it provided tons of twists and turns. Some of our predictions came true (Bradley found her brother, and Paola made some important connections!), while there were other advancements we never saw coming (Alex’s special on UBA+, for one!)

Read on to find out what else happened in The Morning Show season 2 finale.

The Morning Show season 2 episode 10 recap: Did Bradley find Hal?

Last week saw Bradley panic after discovering Hal returned the money she gave him for rehab. This week sees her looking for him, ignoring Laura’s calls in the process. After confiding in Alex about her brother’s situation, Alex encourages her to use her resources and reach to try and find him. She can’t let shame or embarrassment ruin her life — families are messed up for everyone.

Bradley takes her advice, making an Instagram video pleading with people to contact her with any leads on Hal. After the UBA+ event is canceled due to COVID, Cory shows up at Bradley’s hotel and agrees to help her look for him. During the search, he also admits that he loves her.

Before Bradley can properly respond, a nurse calls Bradley and says she thinks Hal might be in the emergency room. The lead turns out to be correct, and though he’s a little banged up from getting in a fight, Hal is okay. Bradley is relieved, and the two make up.

After her COVID diagnosis, Alex is not doing well, to say the least. Time starts to warp as she crawls from the kitchen to the shower to her bed, where she tosses and turns. Her doctor encourages her to stay home unless she can’t breathe, which makes her feel even more isolated.

Eventually, she calls Chip, admitting she’s scared to die and doesn’t want to be alone. Despite their rocky past few days, Chip comforts her, telling her to FaceTime him and put her phone next to her pillow so it’s like they’re together. He promises he’s not going anywhere.

The next day, he shows up at her house, claiming he has COVID, too (though we later discover he was actually negative). He also has a brilliant idea: he thinks they should film what she’s going through in order to educate and warn people about the virus. Cory agrees to put it on UBA+.

Alex reluctantly agrees, struggling through having enough energy to get camera-ready and read off the teleprompter. Despite her weakened state, she makes it through, even going off-script a bit to apologize directly to Chip for exposing him and everything else she’s done.

Alex addresses the audience, telling them that she’s no different from them just because she’s famous. All she ever wanted to do was be on TV to entertain and educate, but instead, all anyone cares about is her mistakes — not her hosting skills. She thanks everyone who has stuck by her and shown her compassion and tells everyone to stay safe and sane before ending the broadcast.

Despite Cory’s best efforts to blow her off, Paola marches into Cory’s office — and shows him a sample that’s highly intriguing to him. It is, of course, the Mitch footage, and Cory is interested in airing it. Paola refuses, saying she’s not going to betray Mitch post-mortem and she only showed it to him because wants a job at The Morning Show. Something tells us, however, Cory isn’t going to let this go without a fight.

The crew is understandably frustrated when Mia and Stella share the news that they’ve all been exposed to COVID. Although Stella tries to frame this as a good thing to Daniel, saying it’s his turn to be the hero and host while Alex is out, Daniel is no longer interested. He’s been passed over too many times, and since they’re not offering him the seat permanently, he feels this is just another opportunity for them to take advantage of him.

Daniel is adamant he’s quitting, driving the distance to Los Angeles to make sure his grandfather is safe outside his nursing home. Though he doesn’t regret his decision, a call from Mia makes him reconsider. She confides in him about how hard the Mitch excerpt was for her, saying as Black people, they’re always going to have to deal with unfair situations. She wants him to stay and fight, as sitting in a chair Alex takes for granted would help so many people. Daniel is touched, thanking Mia for her words and promising to at least consider what she’s proposing.
