A Million Little Things season 4 is having a solid season thus far, and I may go as far as saying it’s one of their best. Nothing monumental or riveting is happening per se, but I think the stories have gotten more relatable, and the storytelling has improved immensely.

Since the six-month time jump, we’ve caught up with all the characters and seen how their lives have gotten better or worse. Maggie (Allison Miller) is quite happy with her new pro-football player boyfriend Camden (Ryan Hansen), while Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) is now single, alone, and trying to figure out life.

Eddie (David Giuntoli) thought he found love in a hopeless place when he had a cute meet with a woman that nearly ran into his car. Of course, he doesn’t know this woman, but the audience does — she is Peter’s (yes, that Peter) now ex-wife Anna (Erin Karpluk). They set up a date for later that night, and it’s supposed to be at Sophie’s (Lizzy Greene) open-mic performance. We don’t have to delve into that to tell you how badly that goes — at first.

More on what happens there and in the rest of this week’s episode of A Million Little Things season 4 below!

A Million Little Things Season 4, Episode 7 recap: Eddie’s date goes south

I feel so bad for Eddie, who has been through the wringer over the last couple of seasons. He got hit by a car, became paralyzed, and had a divorce, but he was still trying to push through where he could. This week, we finally see some light at the end of the tunnel for him, which goes away when he realizes the woman he is supposed to go on a date with is the ex-wife of the man who assaulted Sophie.

It’s a crappy situation, but Eddie decides that, while they can’t date because of obvious reasons, Anna can explain herself to Sophie, explaining everything that happened. Sophie finds out that Anna left Peter and apologizes for not believing her when Sophie first came to her. But most importantly, she tells Sophie that she believes her and knows everything she said is true.

It looks like Sophie appreciated the effort, so this might not be the end of Peter and Anna — at least not yet (especially since Sophie agreed to go audition at MMI again!).

A Million Little Things Season 4, Episode 7 recap: Maggie’s stalker

The mystery behind Maggie’s stalker continues, and we still don’t know who it is. Cam decides to hire a bodyguard while he’s at an away game, but Maggie doesn’t think it’s necessary and sends him home.

She thinks Cam is being overprotective and not listening to what she wants. Maggie even refuses to stay at Cam’s house while he’s gone but later comes to regret that decision. A little while later, she checks her mail and finds a creepy letter and a drawing of her and asks Gary to come over to put new locks on her doors.

Maggie realizes that Cam was probably right and asks Gary to stay the night (and texts Cam to let him know that he would be there). It’s great to see Maggie and Cam’s relationship because Cam is so secure with everything. While other men would freak out over an ex-boyfriend sleeping over, Cam was okay with it because it meant Maggie was protected. But that doesn’t stop him from messing around with Gary the next day when he comes back home.

Cam just might be my new favorite character!

At the end of the episode, Claudia (Andrea Bang) tells Maggie that the stalker called her “Margaret,” and this triggers something in Maggie’s memory. She thinks it’s a former client, but the strange thing is, that client died nearly three years ago.

A Million Little Things Season 4, Episode 7 recap: Trouble in paradise for Rome and Regina?

Regina (Christina Moses) has been away working at a production set in Miami over the last six months, and it has definitely been difficult on her and Rome (Romany Malco). At work, Regina is struggling without her partner there, and to make matters worse, her dad (Mario Van Peebles) bailed out on a date they were supposed to have.

He shows up at work to surprise her and explains that it’s because his wife kicked him out, and he was too embarrassed to tell Regina that. By the end, they’ve managed to make strides in their relationship, and I think it’s safe to say they’re on the path to becoming closer.

Meanwhile, Rome is trying to figure out his documentary issue. He’s being sued by the production company for showing the movie without permission and isn’t sure what to do. He calls up his new friend Cassandra (Azie Tesfai), whom he met during one of his screenings.

She calls up the streaming company and tells them she is his publicist. It results in his agent letting him go, but he gets his documentary back eventually. I’m not sure how I feel about Cassandra, and things have been weird and distant with Regina and Rome, but we’ll see.

At least Regina came home early and surprised Rome!

A Million Little Things Season 4, Episode 7 recap: Katherine goes on a date

Katherine (Grace Park) finally goes out on a date, and it’s her first going on one with a woman. It’s a big moment for her, but it sadly doesn’t go very well. It’s off to a decent start — that is, until the server comes by and Katherine stops holding her date’s hand.

Her date isn’t too pleased by that and excuses herself and never comes back. She does pay the bill, though, so there’s that?

Later on, Carter (Sam Pancake) helps her out because he understands what it is like to struggle with your sexual identity. It’s a process, and it’s going to take time, but he offers his support through her whole process.
