With NBC’s generational family drama coming to an emotional conclusion, let’s look at some important details before This is Us Season 6 premieres.

It’s the final season. The big crescendo. The Big Three’s big finale. It’s all been leading to this. With NBC’s intergenerational family drama coming to an emotional conclusion, let’s look at some important details before This is Us season 6 premieres.

This is Us season 6: The cast helps make the show

First, let us look at something about This is Us Season 6 that has nothing to do with “what?” but rather “how?” For this upcoming season, in classic television production style, some of the cast members will have their chance in the director’s chair. Although this show has already seen Justin Hartley and Milo Ventimiglia direct one episode each, the actor behind the Pearson family will be back again directing an episode. Joining this esteemed class of cast/directors are Mandy Moore, Jon Huertas, and Chris Sullivan. Not only that, but Susan Kelechi Watson will be receiving a writing credit alongside veteran writer Eboni Freeman.

Having the cast members branch out is always one of the best things about shows lasting multiple seasons because it brings a new perspective and freshness to a show. Look forward to Watson writing episode 6 and Milo directing episode 8, while the rest of the cast’s episodes will be in the second half of This is Us season 6.
