Who is Bobby Farleigh in Yellowjackets? Natalie and Travis’ fight explained

Yellowjackets is by far one of the best new shows to premiere in recent history. The combination of incredible casting, acting, and writing has made it a bonafide hit — not to mention the fact its compelling central mystery has the entire internet sharing theories and predictions. One such question that arose after last week’s episode is: who is Bobby Farleigh?

One of the most iconic, complex characters is none other than Natalie, played by Sophie Thatcher during her teen years and Juliette Lewis in the present day. Travis, a fellow plane crash victim, quickly became one of the most important relationships in her life, and 25 years later, he remains one of the most important.

However, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for the two of them. Episode 8 saw Travis and Natalie experience another rift in their relationship after Jackie told Travis that Natalie had slept with Bobby Farleigh. Read on to discover why this is key information and why it made Travis so upset.

Who is Bobby Farleigh?

You may remember earlier in the season that Travis opened up about being bullied with the nickname Flex. Back in junior high, Travis had to have surgery on his spine, and after seeing his scar in the locker room, someone started the rumor that he had a rib removed so he could give himself blowjobs. That person was none other than Bobby Farleigh.

Why does Travis care that Natalie slept with Bobby Farleigh?

Travis and Natalie have been getting closer lately, even nearly having sex in episode 7. The two also talk about past partners they had, with Natalie conveniently leaving out the fact she slept with Bobby. Jackie, however, tells Travis the truth, which leads to more trouble in paradise for them.

Not only does Travis feel betrayed that Natalie slept with the person who bullied him, but he’s also hurt that she lied to him about it. She apologizes, saying she made a mistake but was worried he would hate her for it. Travis, however, refuses to accept her apology, saying their whole relationship was a mistake.

Can Natalie and Travis repair their relationship?

Natalie and Travis are not in a good place at the moment, but we’re hopeful they’ll find a way to move forward. After all, it’s clear present-day Natalie loved Travis deeply, doing everything she can to solve his murder. Though their relationship remained tumultuous and complex throughout the 25 years, it’s obvious they never stopped caring for each other — even despite Bobby Farleigh.
