Does Netflix’s Bridgerton have a season 2 release date?
Fans of Netflix’s Bridgerton can rejoice, for season 2 doesn’t seem that far out of reach anymore! Mark your calendars and prepare the popcorn for the drama and romance that will surely ensue as we return to 1813 London.
Season 1 introduced us to several characters, including the Bridgerton and Featherington families. Although each character has their own stories unfolding, it is the budding romance between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset (Duke of Hastings) that takes center stage.
Daphne feels immense pressure to meet a worthy suitor to marry by the end of the season, while Simon is doing everything he can to avoid marriage. The two decide to fake their relationship to appease the members of high society, but of course, they wind up falling in love.
In the midst of their drama is Daphne’s brother Colin, who takes a liking to Marina (under the care of the Featheringtons). Meanwhile, Penelope Featherington’s love for Colin, unfortunately, remains a secret by the end of the season.
Bridgerton will be returning to Netflix for season 2 in the coming months!
Then we have one of Daphne’s other brothers’ Benedict trying to find his way in society, which leads to some steamy and suggestive developments. And, of course, we still haven’t touched on half of the season’s plotlines.
But season 2 will give Daphne and Simon a break and focus on Anthony Bridgerton, who had a less-than-stellar romantic relationship with opera singer Siena Rosso. He’s determined to find love, but will it be easy or difficult?
Season 2 is scheduled to return on March 25th, and Netflix decided to announce the return by having several actors from the series read a letter penned by the mysterious Lady Whistledown herself. Oddly enough, Lady Whistledown’s identity was revealed at the end of season 1.
Who will Anthony fall in love with? Will he be engaged by the end of the season?
What will become of Daphne, Simon, and other notable characters from season 1? It looks like we’ll have to wait just a little while longer to find out!
