Yellowjackets season 1 has been a whirlwind, to say the least. For every question that’s been answered, there have been two more to pop up, and the twists and turns have made theorizing every week practically an internet sport. Here are some final predictions we have for the Yellowjackets season 1 finale.

Yellowjackets season 1 finale prediction: Someone else is alive

We have our core four Yellowjackets, of course, that we see week-to-week in both the 1996 and present-day timelines: Shauna, Misty, Natalie, and Taissa. But what are the chances someone else from the past is alive without us realizing it? Considering the surprises this show constantly throws at us, we’d say the odds are pretty good.

Who knows? Maybe Jackie survived after all. Perhaps Van will come out from the shadows. Who’s to say Lottie isn’t going to pop up out of nowhere? Not only would another survival throw the group dynamics and alliances into a tizzy, but it could be a chance to introduce another 90s icon — what could be juicier?

Although [spoiler!] we saw Shauna kill Adam last week and his involvement was assumed to be a red herring after it was revealed Jeff was behind the blackmail, we aren’t so sure he’s not connected somehow. Something simply isn’t adding up, and there seem to be too many coincidences for him not to be involved somehow. Whether it’s the blackmail or something to do with the past, we think there was more to Adam than met the eye — and believe it’s a safe bet his death is going to have major consequences.

The allusion to cannibalism has been hanging over the Yellowjackets’ — and viewers’! — heads from the very first few minutes of the pilot. However, we think there’s more to the story than that. After all, Jessica made a decent point last week: though it’s certainly a taboo, they were just doing what they had to do to survive…right?

We have a suspicion that there may be more to the story than everyone is letting on. Maybe the cannibalism wasn’t for survival, or maybe there’s something even more sinister (if that’s even possible) that everyone is desperately trying to keep under the radar.

Speaking of cannibalism and the pilot, the identity of the Antler Queen has been a burning question since the show’s very beginning. It would make sense that the season finale would finally give us the answer we’ve been dying (pun intended) to know.

Many people have debated and dissected who it may be, so we won’t list all of the theories here. However, Lottie, Shauna, and Jackie all seem to be at the top of people’s lists. Do you think it will be one of them? Or come out of left field?

Jessica is a curious character. Of course, we found out last week that [spoiler] Jeff was the one to hire Jessica to blackmail Taissa into giving him money, but it definitely seems like there’s something else going on with her. She’s surprisingly calm for being Misty’s kidnapee and prying harder than one might expect for the blackmailing task. Something tells us she may have ulterior motives, too.
