3. Nia Nol (Supergirl)

Arrowverse

One of the characters on this list that does not have the same benefit of as many years as some other folks, Nia Nol is still an incredible character with just as much development and focus as her counterparts within the Arrowverse. Her relationship with Brainy was beautiful for many reasons, but the main one is that it showed it is very much possible to write a complex and nuanced trans character that is not all about being trans. She gets the upper hand to Brainy because of her longstanding openness to love and relationships, so she has more experience with being romantic.

2. Joe West (The Flash)

Arrowverse

There would be no Iris West-Allen, Flash, or the number one entry in this list without Joe West in the Arrowverse. Joe West was a man that stood for respect, courtesy, and loyalty, and that is what he instilled in the two children he was fortunate to raise by himself. While Joe might not have the same abilities as his adopted son, Joe West could still serenade you with his lovely jazz music — and that might be what some people are looking for this February.

1. Barry Allen (The Flash)

Arrowverse

Barry Allen, The Flash, the Fastest Man Alive, the Scarlett Speedster, the Paragon of Love. How could it be anyone else? Barry Allen loves so much about life, mainly because he had so little growing up. This transformed Barry into an incredible romantic person who would pull out all of the stops for his partner — regardless of whether he had his super-speed or not. Barry just has the added benefits of being able to run to Thailand for genuine Thai food in 30 minutes or less.
