The elegant, dramatic, and scandalous world of Bridgerton will be returning to Netflix for a second season on March 25, 2022. While audiences look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces with popcorn and tissues at the ready, they will also be hearing some renditions of familiar pop songs.
You may remember hearing such songs as Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” and Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” by Vitamin String Quartet from season 1 of the hit series based on the book The Duke and I written by Julia Quinn. Now a new list of songs has been released, ready to set the mood.
Classicfm provided a list of pop songs we will hear this season including; Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’, covered by Hannah V and Joe Rodwell, Robyn’s ‘Dancing on My Own’, covered by Vitamin String Quartet, Nirvana’s ‘Stay Away’, covered by Vitamin String Quartet, and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’, covered by Midnight String Quartet.
Considering what we know about season 2, which is focusing on Anthony Bridgerton finding love, it will be fun to guess when and where these songs will be played. Although the songs chosen for the end credits of an episode might leave the biggest impact as audiences await what happens in the following episode.
