The Umbrella Academy is returning for a third season on Netflix and we finally have a release date! Are you ready to see what The Sparrow Academy has to offer and what it could mean for the Hargreeves family?

Summer is about to get even better because season 3 is arriving June 22, 2022! The dysfunctional family of superpowered beings may have found themselves in more trouble yet again.

They successfully prevented another apocalypse but, in the process, returned to a different version of their world. One where their sibling Ben is alive and The Umbrella Academy has been replaced with The Sparrow Academy.

Does this mean the Hargreeves family will have to go back in time again or will they be stuck in this timeline where it already seems like they are unwelcome?

It’s time for The Umbrella Academy to meet The Sparrow Academy as season 3 arrives this summer!

TVLine shared the official season 3 synopsis as follows: “Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses and surprises of their own — and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?”

Yes, The Sparrow Academy is the least of their problems, so is this destructive entity when Lila Pitts, Diego’s love interest and another superpowered being, is on the run. Not to mention what will happen to The Temps Commission now that The Handler is dead?

Or is she? This new season can mean everything in the previous two seasons has been undone.

Which means Five could still be in danger but also that characters like their robotic and loving “Mom” might not exist.

One thing is for sure, it looks like another promising season is on the way, which means more insane, bizarre, and heartfelt moments are coming.
