Bridgerton Season 2: 5 burning questions we still have

Bridgerton Season 2 left fans with these 5 questions for Season 3 to answer.

Everyone is still talking about Bridgerton season 2; especially the intense and unforgettable romance between Anthony and Kate, as they became everyone’s new favorite couple! While we followed the two through the highs and lows of falling in love, we also witnessed the possible end of Eloise and Penelope’s friendship, Benedict finding his place among the arts, and witnessed new lengths to which the ton will go to when it comes to the latest gossip from Lady Whistledown.

Who said things were easier in the past? Thankfully Bridgerton has been renewed for season 3 which means we can begin speculating what will happen next!

But in the meantime, we have several questions that we’d like answered from season 2. From which Bridgerton child will find love next season to if Eloise will reveal Penelope’s secret, these are 5 questions that will hopefully be answered in season3.

Before going forward, spoilers ahead for those who have not caught up with the show.

5. Bridgerton Season 2: Will Eloise reveal Penelope’s Secret?

It was bound to happen but the fact it was Penelope’s best friend Eloise Bridgerton who discovered her secret makes the situation all the more painful for both women. Penelope Featherington was becoming reckless, as she got caught up in the thrill of the gossip she wrote.

The more determined Eloise was to uncover Lady Whistledown the more desperate Penelope became. But the question is will Eloise reveal her secret?

If she does then she would be the same as Penelope, sharing secrets and details about one’s personal life. If she doesn’t, Penelope will continue to write as Lady Whistledown, subjecting the ton to her gossip every day.

It’s a tricky situation whether neither answer seems to be the right one to make. With any luck the two will somehow reconcile.

If not, perhaps Penelope will change her writing tactics and publish less gossip and more substance. In reality, something else we can’t imagine will probably happen.

4. Bridgerton Season 2: Will we be seeing Anthony and Kate?

The newest couple of the ton, Anthony and Kate, have wed and now that they are together, it seems nothing nor no one will keep them apart again. But does this mean we’ll see them again in season 3?

We’d like to think and hope so. The Viscount and Viscountess of the Bridgerton family should be present while not being the focus of season 3.

If we recall in season 1, Daphne Bridgerton met and married the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset. Daphne did appear occasionally in season 2 but not her husband.

This is understandable as Daphne wed and left home. Kate wed Anthony and this is her home.

Unless Kate is suddenly traveling far away without Anthony there should be no reason we don’t see the couple. True Kate could visit family in India but honestly, let’s see Kate and Anthony next season.

Even if it’s for but a moment. Maybe they could share some key advice for the next Bridgerton child seeking love and marriage.

Speaking of which…

3. Bridgerton Season 2: Which Bridgerton child will be finding love?

Two Bridgerton children are married with several more to go. So, who will be next?

Eloise? Colin?

Benedict? The next eldest Bridgerton son is Benedict and the next eldest Bridgerton daughter is Eloise.

However, Eloise had quite the experience this season and she seems steadfast on remaining single and independent. But is Benedict ready to marry?

He spent the majority of the season finding himself by diving into his art and possible romance with nude model and artist Tessa. He did however drop out of the Royal Academy of the Arts by the end of the season.

Could season 3 throw us a curveball all together and focus on Colin? He seems to fit in well with the ladies of the ton, but his mind seems stuck on Marina whom is already married.

He has yet to acknowledge Penelope as anything more than a dear friend. If it were to be his turn Penelope will be doing everything possible to make sure he chooses her.

Or perhaps the surprise twist would be that by the end of season 3 there isn’t an official couple or wedding? Now that will surely be the biggest scandal of the series yet!

2. Bridgerton Season 2: Will the Bridgerton family still be societal outcasts?

What a judgmental time to be alive. Unfortunately, one of the main reasons why Anthony and Kate took so long to get together, even after the wedding was canceled was because of the ton.

Rumors spread fast as to why Edwina and Anthony do not marry. Both the Bridgertons and Lady Danbury herself become instant social outcasts as every family avoids them.

Even ones that had previous scandals of their own. Penelope’s attempt to deter Queen Charlotte from accusing Eloise as Lady Whistledown didn’t help matters either.

By the end of season 2, Anthony and Kate decide to put their happiness first. If it weren’t for Queen Charlotte intervening the ton would have had a field day over this development.

But we can’t help but wonder if the family’s reputation has been revived or not. Will they be welcome at parties next season, or will they still be judged by their peers?

1. Bridgerton Season 2: The Featheringtons

Not even the Featheringtons are spared from the drama. Portia Featherington had to deal with the new heir and somehow ensure her daughters would have secured futures.

While the heir, Cousin Jack, may have made a perfect partner for Portia, in both the sense of crime and passion, he also became the instigator of drama.

Jack never told Portia why he was courting Cressida Cowper or how his fortune in his American mines was a facade. But for every misstep and miscommunication between Jack and Portia, they tried to recover, until as Portia discovers, they ran out of options.

By taking her share of money from investors, forcing his signature that the Featherington heir will go to the first grandson, and demanding he leave England, Portia ensured her family’s survival. But for how long?

She has two unwed daughters and may be on the brink of destruction once again. We highly doubt she and her family will be spared of drama in season 3.

The question is, what will happen to this family next?
