Season 3 of Netflix’s Bridgerton is already seeing a shakeup as one of the Bridgerton children has been recast. As the third season is expected to begin filming over the summer, we may be seeing more of the ever-elusive Francesca Bridgerton.

Of all the Bridgerton children she is the one we see the least on the series as she has only appeared in a handful of episodes altogether. Unfortunately, if you blink, you may miss her.

To be honest we can’t say much about her outside of the fact that she seems to fit in well with her family while also remaining a little reserved. The role once played by Ruby Stokes (Da Vinci’s Demons and the upcoming Lockwood & Co) will now go to Hannah Dodd, (Harlots, Find Me in Paris).

With news of the recast, we can’t help but wonder if this means a bigger surprise may be in store for season 3. Currently, the plot for season 3 remains a mystery as some believe it will be Benedict’s turn to find love and others think Colin is a possible contender.

Which character from Bridgerton has been recast?

Of course, season 3 could throw the ultimate curveball and there is no definitive love story or happy ending for a specific couple. Or perhaps an even bigger curveball would be that Francesca is the one who enters the season ring and finds herself a husband.

Or maybe we are thinking too hard about all of this. But can you blame us when we miss this historical romance drama so much?

Either way, we look forward to the casting news and excitedly await more season 3 filming and casting updates! Which characters from Bridgerton would you love to see more of in season 3?
