The Umbrella Academy Season 3 trailer, release date, premise, and more!
Fans of this Netflix series have been waiting almost two years for the third season of this zany and bonkers graphic novel turned television series. Now, the wait is almost over for The Umbrella Academy season 3.
Captivating audiences since February of 2019, The Umbrella Academy has quickly made a name for itself by beautifully presenting stunning visuals, complex characters, and a constant threat of a catastrophic, world-ending event. While there have been countless examples of superhero shows spanning just as many genres and styles, there is something special about the titular band of characters thanks to their unique and unknown origins, along with their shared familial trauma.
These two aspects look to be maintained throughout The Umbrella Academy season 3, so this will likely result in another amazing batch of episodes when it releases on June 22.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 Premise
When we last saw our favorite adopted siblings, Luther, Diego, Alison, Klaus, Five, and Vanya had just saved the world in 1963 and returned home. This happy and relieved moment dissipated when they discovered the home and world they returned to was not the same one they (accidentally) left at the end of season 1.
Their parasol-themed home never existed thanks to their actions towards their father in 1963, thus creating The Sparrow Academy. Throughout The Umbrella Academy season 3 trailer, The Sparrow Academy is shown and presented as every good thing The Umbrella Academy is not.
This is thanks to their dad knowing where he messed up and made changes. Apart from an adult Ben being alive for the first time in the show’s run, he looks to be one of the main antagonists which will only create more tension and drama for the ragtag group.
The Umbrella Academy season 3 cast
All of the members of the titular group, along with Colm Feore as Sir Reginald and Adam Godley as Pogo, are making their return for this third season. This also includes Elliot Page as Viktor who will come out as a transgender man to eloquently correspond with the actor’s own transition.
Making up this new Sparrow Academy will be Justin Cornwell as Marcus (Number One), Britne Oldford as Fei (Number Three), Jake Epstein as Alphonso (Number Four), Genesis Rodriguez as Sloane (Number Five), and Cazzie David as Jayme (Number Six). From the start, it looks like this group of five, along with a very different Ben (Number Two), will be defending their home against The Umbrella Academy.
But this could very well change as this show has historically loved to have enemies turn into allies. Also making her return is Ritu Arya as Lila Pitts who will be continuing her romance with Diego and hopefully be a helpful ally to her boo and his super-powered siblings.
