Will we see The Armorer in Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3?
The Armorer remains one of my favorite Star Wars characters and it’s easy to see why. Played by the talented Emily Swallow (TV series Supernatural, SEAL Team), she has appeared in both seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
She, like the rest of the Mandalorians in her clan, follows the old ways. This includes never removing their helmet in the presence of others.
This would, of course, be Mandalorian Din Djarin’s undoing. The Armorer is wise, calm, and quite the fighter herself.
But she is strict and devoted. Those keys aspects of her personality can become her weakness as she may have severed ties with Din Djarin permanently.
What will the Armorer’s role be in Star Wars: The Mandalorian season 3?
Din Djarin’s appearance in The Book of Boba Fett was surprising but welcome. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand were having quite the trouble back on Tatooine and desperately needed help.
Din Djarin responded, neglecting to share with anyone that he is not deemed to be a Mandalorian anymore for removing his helmet. The only way he can reclaim his title is to go to the living waters in the mines of Mandalore.
This mission may remain on the backburner for now as Din Djarin and Grogu have officially reunited. We doubt the bounty hunter will ever let the tiny Force-sensitive creature out of his sight again.
But where does all of this leave the Armorer? It seems the task of finding other Mandalorians hasn’t proven fruitful.
Not to mention she knows the dangers Din Djarin poses since he still possesses the Darksaber. According to this interesting bit of information from Screen Rant “In a Screen Rant exclusive interview, Swallow talks about her character’s role in the upcoming The Mandalorian season 3, revealing that the Armorer will play a bigger part in the events of the episodes”. While remaining elusive about what audiences can expect from the Armorer in season 3, the actor teases that more might be revealed about her than in previous seasons.”
