Are you feeling the midweek blues? We’re here to help turn that frown upside down by sharing the news that Monsters at Work is returning for season 2!

The Disney Plus series takes viewers into the world of the Disney and Pixar film Monsters, Inc. where Scarers Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan (Sully) wind up taking over the company. They change the objective from scaring children to produce energy for Monstropolis, to hiring Jokesters.

Monsters at Work focuses on the main character Tylor, who was hired as a Scarer but happened to arrive just as the company was changing direction. Throughout season 1, Tylor tries and fails multiple times to become a Jokester while working with a collective of unusual and interesting monsters in MIFT.

After many hilarious situations, failed attempts, surprise cameos, and notable references, including a nod to Star Wars, Tylor finally becomes a Jokester by the end of the season. But what awaits his first day on the job?

Tylor’s days as a Jokester are just beginning as Monsters at Work will be returning for season 2!

Will he change his mind and return to MIFT? How long will Mike and Sully’s success last?

Will they ever reunite with Boo? We’re hoping some of these questions are answered now that it has been confirmed that season 2 is arriving to the streaming platform next year!

As you can see the announcement put a lot of heavy emphasis on the wording and usage of the number two. The hilarious and warm-hearted series had the return of original voice actors of Mike and Sully (Billy Crystal and John Goodman) as well as introducing the equally impressive talents of Henry Winkler, Ben Feldman and Mindy Kaling.

We’ll share updates and news regarding the return of this comedic masterpiece but in the meantime, you rewatch and enjoy season 1 on Disney Plus.
