The Walking Dead season 11 Part 3 will conclude the AMC series that followed the lives of a multitude of characters trying to survive each other and walkers (zombies) during the apocalypse. Along the way, we’ve come to realize many characters are more than they seem.

Most recently, ex-leader of The Saviors, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) had an episode devoted to his past before the apocalypse began. In the season 10 episode 22 titled, “Here’s Negan” audiences caught a glimpse of his failing marriage with his wife Lucille (Hilarie Burton-Morgan), how she figured out he’s been cheating on her, and to top it off, her cancer diagnosis.

Negan reflects on how once she told him of her diagnosis, he flipped the script and tried to be the best husband he could for his dying wife. The two survived the beginnings of the apocalypse while Negan tirelessly tried to continue her cancer treatments until he had to leave to find more.

She begged him not to go and when he finally returned after some misfortunes, he discovers she had killed herself and turned. While you would think this would be the one and only time we’d see Lucille, we may yet see her again.

Will we be seeing Negan’s deceased wife Lucille again on The Walking Dead?

An unconfirmed rumor has been floating around that Lucille will return for The Walking Dead season 11 episode 23. While this honestly brought a huge smile to our face we wanted to learn more.

Upon our own research with IMDb.com, we visited Hilarie Burton-Morgan’s page to find that she is cited to appear in episode 23 as Lucille. If this proves to be true, how and why will she be reappearing?

Will Negan be reflecting on his life with her as he now prepares for his future with Annie? Remember, this is currently a rumor, but regardless we’d love to see Lucille and Negan share the screen once again.

Even if it is for one last time.
