Ms. Marvel season 1 introduced audiences to the newest Marvel superhero of the same name. Ms. Marvel, also known as Kamala Khan, juggled her high school life, complete with loyal friends, and her home life which consisted of her loving, traditional, and sometimes strict family.

In the midst of all of this, Kamala is a huge fan of Captain Marvel and often daydreams of the superhero life. What transpires is more than Kamala could have ever expected, including learning family secrets and obtaining powers of her own.

By the end of the season, she learns the value of family, meets new allies, and learns to embrace who she is. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t curious about a few unanswered questions.

Listed in no particular order, let’s dive into five questions we have after the completion of Ms. Marvel season 1. Before going forward, spoilers ahead for those who have not caught up with the show.

Ms. Marvel question: What happened to the second bracelet?

We learn rather quickly that Kamala’s family is full of secrets. Not to mention some things left unsaid.

When she comes across a beautiful bracelet from her grandmother, Kamala’s powers seem to awaken. The bracelet doesn’t give her the power, it helps her channel it from within herself.

As it turned out, Kamala is a Djinn, as her great grandmother Aisha comes from the Noor Dimension. Trouble is, this bracelet is the only way for banished Djinn, such as Kamran’s mother Najma, to return home.

She had been searching for this bracelet which is actually one of two. But where is the second bracelet?

We find out that Najma and Aisha were searching for this bracelet back in the 1940’s. Aisha takes the bracelet and flees her friends, only to later be caught and killed.

However, she managed to give the bracelet to her daughter, Kamala’s grandmother, beforehand. It was assumed that the British found and possessed the other bracelet, but we never see this happen.

Will the second bracelet show up in the upcoming Marvel Studios film The Marvels?

Ms. Marvel question: What does Kamala’s mutation mean?

Kamala was surprised to learn of her family history and as a result her powers come from within her. Throughout the season she struggles to control them, using the bracelet to help her.

By the end of the season however her friend Bruno learns more about her powers. It seems as though her powers are a mutation.

What does this mean? How does it affect the story?

Will it affect Kamala’s story going forward? We have no idea.

It’s such a subtle yet monumental reveal yet no details are provided.

Ms. Marvel question: What exactly happened to Kamran?

Kamran arrives to Kamala’s school and immediately we know he’s going to be her crush. Kindhearted and with a charming smile to boot, Kamala and Kamran immediately connect but unfortunately nothing is as it seems.

Kamran’s mother is Najma, and she sought to meet Kamala in the hopes of finding the bracelet and opening the gate to the Noor Dimension. Kamran quickly disagrees with his mother’s methods and for his betrayal she leaves him behind as the group follows Kamala to Karachi, Pakistan.

When Kamala and Najma fight, Kamala is transported back in time to learn what happened to Aisha. Upon returning, the Noor Dimension is opened.

Najma is able to close it, dying in the process but not before calling out to Kamran. He becomes infused with powers too dangerous to control.

By the end of the season Kamran is sent to Pakistan to hopefully find help through The Red Daggers. But what exactly happened to him?

What power did Najma give her son? Is his power the actual gate to the Noor Dimension?

Did she send the gate to him in which he must die for the gate to be permanently closed?

Ms. Marvel question: Where did Kamala go?

By the season finale, Kamala has a superhero suit, has made efforts to control her powers, and can properly begin saving and protecting people. Well, that all might change because we don’t know where Kamala was transported to.

As Kamala admires her costume and the bracelet in her room, something strange occurs. She mysteriously vanishes and Captain Marvel appears.

She sees Kamala’s room, completely decorated like a shrine to the hero and the episode concludes. Was Kamala transported back in time?

Did she happen to go the Noor Dimension? Or is something else going on?

Ms. Marvel question: Is the last we’ll see of Agent Cleary?

Ah, Agent Cleary, the unspoken villain of Ms. Marvel. We doubt we’ve seen the last of him, unfortunately.

But we could get lucky. After all, we don’t really know who he answers to.

The failure he suffered at the end of the season is enough to make him backpedal a bit, but we know that the likes of Kamala and Kamran will always be on his radar. After all, he may actually have good intentions but, again we doubt it.

Thankfully if Kamala does find herself in trouble with him again, she’ll have Captain Marvel to help her.
