What happens during the last The Walking Dead Season 11 trailer?

This is it… After starting with Rick Grimes emerging from the hospital to a quiet and zombie-ridden world to the survivors facing off amongst themselves, The Walking Dead is coming to a close.

The last trailer for the hit AMC series aired during San Diego Comic-Con and it is nothing short of stellar, crushing, terrifying, and hopeful. The trailer opens with a rather cinematic take of the main character Rick Grimes waking up from his coma to a world he no longer recognizes.

In quick succession, we flash forward to several moments of several characters both long gone and still holding on. Then we arrive to the current situation…which is The Commonwealth under attack from both inside and outside the walls.

Scheming, plotting, attacks upon the people and our heroes, a lot of Commonwealth soldiers and of course the walkers who are never far away. Speaking of walkers, this trailer is full of them, including the one shot of them slowly making their way to the highly protected Commonwealth.

What does the last trailer of The Walking Dead reveal about the final season?

When they will breech the walls (we know they will), will there be anyone to stop them? While we watch the likes of Rosita, Elijah and Lydia possibly meeting their deaths, we got Whisperer masks becoming useful yet again, and walkers that can open doors and climb over fences.

The showrunners truly wanted the final season of The Walking Dead to cover all the bases and then some! But will the series have a satisfying conclusion when there is a lineup of spin-offs to follow?
