Is the script for Stranger Things Season 5 being written?

Stranger Things season 4 ended on a rather sad note. Eddie Munson doesn’t survive, Max is in a coma in the hospital, Vecna is most likely still alive, and Hawkins is slowly merging with The Upside Down.

Despite our heroes’ best efforts and they truly brought everything they could to the fight, it seems Vecna has won, this time. But that doesn’t mean our heroes didn’t have victories as well.

Hopper has been rescued and reunited with Eleven, she has regained her powers, she was able to save Max from death, and the group is reunited once again in Hawkins. But now that the future is very uncertain, how will the final season of such a compelling show conclude?

Will Vecna claim a member of the core group? What about the side characters like Nancy and Mike’s parents?

What will happen in Stranger Things season 5?

Not to mention the minor subplot of Nancy, Jonathan and Steve. Well, we might not have to wait for those answers for long because it seems like season 5 is currently being written.

Thanks to a helpful tweet on Twitter from the stranger writers account we have proof that the final season is coming together. The tweet is a simple image of a dry erase board with the Stranger Things logo combined with the number 5.

The text in the tweet reads: Day 1. How long will it take for a completed script to be finished?

We’re unsure but we’re willing to be patient. Stranger Things has had successful seasons each time (regardless of characters we lost along the way) and we’re sure the Duffer Brothers will make sure season 5 is nonetheless spectacular.
