What happens in the upcoming Wednesday teaser trailer?
Are you ready for spooky scary season? Netflix certainly is, releasing the official teaser for the upcoming series Wednesday.
Wednesday, a series directed by Tim Burton, follows the story of Wednesday Addams, the quiet and quick-witted child of Gomez and Morticia Addams. Many are familiar with the Addams family through the 90’s films that starred Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christina Ricci, Christopher Lloyd, and Jimmy Workman.
The dark and unconventional family has appealed to many for their lifestyle which doesn’t seem to care about societal norms. Not to mention, the utter love and devotion between Gomez and Morticia would make any couple jealous.
Most associate the Addams daughter with Christina Ricci’s portrayal, as let’s face it, she was practically born for that role. In Wednesday, the cast will be comprised of Luis Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Isaac Ordonez with Jenna Ortega playing the main character Wednesday.
What can we expect from the upcoming Netflix series Wednesday?
The official teaser provides a glimpse at Tim Burton’s creation where Wednesday Addams doesn’t quite fit in with the world around her. As expected, it seems she finds new, dark and clever ways to get revenge on the swim team for hurting her brother.
Due to this, her parents, Gomez and Morticia resort to sending her to Nevermore Academy. It is here that Wednesday will be amongst others like herself.
But let’s be honest, no one is quite like her, and Nevermore Academy is not going to be prepared for the likes of an Addams. The teaser hints at mystery and murder, with bleak humor abound.
Will Ortega be able to portray a character that has existed since 1938? Keep your eyes peeled as Wednesday will be arriving to Netflix this Fall!
