Bridgerton has introduced viewers to the world of elegant parties, extravagant clothing, dramatic scandals, and intense romances. Based on the books by Julia Quinn, the Netflix series is currently filming its third season.

Season 1 focused on the complicated romance between Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset the Duke of Hastings. Season 2 placed Viscount Anthony Bridgerton in the spotlight as he and Kate Sharma fell in love.

Season 3 may finally determine if Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington fall in love. Although at this point, the circumstances of their relationship are dire as Eloise, Colin’s sister knows Penelope is Lady Whistledown.

Add to it, Colin continues to view Penelope as his friend and nothing more. Regardless, Penelope’s love for him never faded.

How many Emmy Awards did Bridgerton win this year?

In between the romances several characters are trying to find themselves and their place in high society. They grapple with themes of death, grief and fear as the world around them watches and judges every move.

It’s no wonder how such an influential show was able to obtain three Emmy Award nominations (even if we think they deserve more). Bridgerton won one Emmy Award this year; Outstanding Period and/or Character Hairstyling.

Truly if the series did not win at least one nomination, Queen Charlotte might have to share a few choice words with the award ceremony. We congratulate Bridgerton and hope that next year they will receive more nominations.

You can watch Bridgerton seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix. Were you hoping Bridgerton would win all three award nominations?
