The Disney Plus series Moon Knight wins an Emmy Award

The Disney Plus and Marvel Studios series Moon Knight introduced the anti-hero in a complicated, chaotic, and charismatic way. Moon Knight was never a cut-and-dry show, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Audiences were introduced first to the soft-spoken, timid, and intelligent Steven Grant. Imagine our surprise when we find out several episodes later, that he is but one personality of the actual main character Marc Spector.

As Marc lies dying beneath a statue of the Moon god Khonshu after a mercenary job gone wrong, the ancient god saves him. Marc is turned into his warrior, Moon Knight, and now must do his work.

However, Marc’s debt is also his downfall as his secret interferes with keeping Steven at bay and while risking his marriage to Layla. Amongst all this, a man named Arthur Harrow seems to have begun a cult worshipping the Egyptian goddess Ammit.

How many Emmy Awards did Moon Knight win this year?

By the end of season 1 Marc and Steven are freed from Khonshu however Marc’s other personality, Jake Lockley, seems to have no issue continuing to work for the Egyptian god. We are led to assume he kills Harrow in the back of the limo.

A second season has been teased but there hasn’t been an official confirmation as of yet. However, a show this complex and compelling deserves all the award nominations.

This year, Moon Knight won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series, Movie or Special. If Moon Knight season 2 is indeed on the horizon we hope the series can receive more Emmy Award nominations next year.
