It seems Disney Plus is wasting no time in preparation for the spooky, scary season! During this year’s D23, the official trailer for Marvel Studios Werewolf By Night was released and we’re unsure as to what tone the special is taking.

Just who is this creepy special meant for? Will it be too violent for children to watch with their families?

According to the Disney Plus page, this will be rated TV-14. But the genre for the special is listed as a comedy.

The trailer, moving closer to 5 million views, introduces us to an array of characters in what seems to be a timeless mansion. Though a time period is not specified, it seems as though we are looking at an almost Twilight Zone-type story.

What is the upcoming Disney Plus special Werewolf By Night about?

No doubt inspired by old horror films, the black and white special looks to add a lot of creepy and chaotic visuals. We see skeletons, a dismembered arm, people screaming in terror, violence but mixed within are cheesy jokes and humorous moments.

This makes us wonder if this was done on purpose for the viewers at home or to trick the actual characters in the story? Regardless, it seems as though one by one our characters are attacked and possibly killed by the Werewolf.

But who is the Werewolf? Where are the characters?

Why are they are meeting in the first place? It looks like we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to find out as Werewolf By Night arrives to Disney Plus on October 7.
