Andor season 1 trailer, cast, synopsis, premiere date, and more!

The Star Wars galaxy is about to get a little bit bigger. After being in development for over five years, Andor is finally set to come to our screens shortly.

For any person unaware, this show will take place five years before the events of the Rogue One (2016) film. A lot of people shrugged off the idea at first because Rogue One ended up being one of the most beautiful films from a cinematography standpoint.

It was filled with compelling and entertaining characters. Let’s look at the Andor season 1 trailer and what audiences can expect from the upcoming Star Wars series.

Andor season 1 plot

According to Disney, the synopsis for the series is as follows:

"The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero."

While focusing on the title character amongst an ensemble cast, this show will show the roots of the Rebel Alliance that would go on to take down the Galactic Empire.

Andor season 1 cast

Reprising his role from the film will be Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. Instead of the Rebel captain, this younger Cassian is merely a thief who has lost so much to the Empire and holds a cynical view on trying to fight back.

Also returning from the film are Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Forest Whitaker as Saw Guerrera.

Newcomers to the galaxy are Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Denise Gough as Dedra Meero (a character we know who will be fighting against Andor and the Rebel Alliance), and Fiona Shaw as Maarva. Meero will be one Imperial Officer and another will be Kyle Soller as Syril.

This Imperial Officer has a chip on his shoulder and will enjoy proving that at the expense of the Rebels. What are your expectations for Andor?
