What is the upcoming Netflix animated series Oddballs about? Well, the best way to describe it is by watching the official trailer.
Arriving on the streaming platform October 7, the trailer already with over 3 million views, is a show from the mind of YouTuber TheOdd1sOut. His YouTube Channel thrives on storytelling animated videos with a lot of creative and relatable humor mixed in about as perfectly as the different colors of rainbow-colored sprinkles.
The YouTuber’s actual name, James Rallison voices himself, alongside Julian Gant as the talking crocodile Max and Kimberly Brooks as the time-traveling young woman Echo from the future. The plot of the series is more or less compiled of wacky, strange, and yes odd, stories that take up an entire episode.
James questions things that most people either aren’t bothered by or secretly are, like trophies. The jokes are humorous, plentiful and mesh well with the momentum of the brightly colored animation.
What can you expect from the upcoming Netflix animated series Oddballs?
I did give an honest chuckle at the image of a meteor about to kill the dinosaurs right next to a children’s puzzle when James wanted to order the Dino Nuggets. But what’s this?
He can’t because that is from the children’s menu?! We’ve all had that moment where the food on the children’s menu looks and sounds better than the adult menu options.
