Did The Walking Dead just hint at a major character death?
The final episodes of The Walking Dead pick up right where they left off with Lance Hornsby chasing after Daryl, Maggie, Aaron, and Gabriel and The Commonwealth’s reaction to Sebastian Milton’s deeds. Season 11 episode 17 “Lockdown” ends with a satisfying, heart-racing cliffhanger.
Will Hornsby take the fall for Sebastian? Or will something else happen entirely?
The upcoming episode 18 titled, “A New Deal” will air on AMC, Sunday October 8. But it is available early for those who have AMC+.
The official Twitter account for The Walking Dead released a reminder about the next episode airing early but did they also reveal a major character death? In the advertisement, the camera slowly zooms in upon a radio microphone with the letters CWR.
Will a major character meet their end in the next episode of The Walking Dead?
Behind the microphone is a blurred image of a Commonwealth Founders Day banner. The microphone, papers beneath the microphone and banner are covered in blood splatter most likely from someone getting shot with a gun.
If we recall, Eugene and the real Stephanie, whose name is actually Max, first met through a radio transmission. Does this mean either of them will become unfortunate victims?
Perhaps another main character is using the microphone to warn others and meets a heroic, sad end. Although we did see Governor Pamela Milton attempt to calm the angered citizens using a microphone from her office.
Could she possibly become a victim? Or is all of this a metaphor for the supposed “deal” not working out which results in someone we care about paying the price?
Keep in mind The Walking Dead has been notorious for their skills in misdirection. There are multiple possibilities at play.
We’re curious what you think? Who do you think will be meeting their possible demise in the next episode?
Who do you think is responsible for this next, possible character death?
