This article contains SPOILERS for Andor season 1 episode 6.

Thanks to the astrological event of The Eye, the rebels and Cassian are able to execute a heist against The Empire in this week’s episode of Andor season 1.

Catch up here on everything from the last episode!

The sixth episode begins early in the morning of the heist. Nemik, who is a little on edge and can’t sleep, goes to talk to “Clem.”

They discuss the morality of The Empire and how Nemik cares more than Cassian does. Andor ends the conversation by telling Nemik he will sleep when it is over.

Over at the Imperial building, Lieutenant Gorn is standing in with his superior Commandant Jayhold Beehaz. A visiting colonel hears the two officers talk about how low they think of the indigenous folks on Aldhani and their plan to continue their reign over them.

Before they leave their camp, Taramyn and Nemik set up their radio connection with Vel and Cinta. They explain this will continue to work even if The Empire jams the signals.

While they are talking into position with Taramyn is barking orders, Skeen tells Cassian that Taramyn used to be a stormtrooper. Taramyn, Skeen, Nemik, and Clem all fall in line disguised as Imperial guards, as the Aldhani natives make their way to the top of the mountain to witness The Eye tonight.

As they do this, Vel and Cinta make their way across the lake where the armory is located on and sneak up the dam.

After successfully blending in with the other officers, Gorn assigns his secret rebels to escort Commandant Beehaz and his family to their spot to witness The Eye with the influential colonel from earlier. Once they enter the Imperial garrison, the rebels are able to apprehend the officers and the Beehaz family.

The colonel tries to be a hero for The Empire but Cinta shoots him. She and Vel reunite with their rebels.

Andor season 1 episode 6: The heist hits a hiccup

First, Vel sends Tamaryn and Clem to the payroll vault with the commandant so they can use his hand to open it. The rest of the rebels and the commandant’s family eventually meet up with them after the mercenary and former stormtrooper, clears the room.

Vel informs their enemies their comms are not working. Nobody has to die but they are prepared to kill.

Making their way to the vault, the rebels easily apprehend the skeleton crew working during The Eye and use their hostages to move the credits with pace and urgency. After discovering the comms were dead, Corporal Kimzi arrives and realizes Lieutenant Gorn is acting against The Empire.

A firefight ensues with the rebels trying to retreat with all of the funds they were able to steal to that point. Andor gets the plane moving and the only ones able to escape are Cassian, Vel, Skeen, and a wounded Nemik.

Taramyn and Gorn are struck down. Thanks to their bulky ship’s defenses and Nemik’s analog navigation, Cassian is able to fly through the astrological event of The Eye and escape while the chasing TIE Fighters crash and burn.

Andor season 1 episode 6: Skeen’s true colors come out

As the rebels escape, the indigenous folks and the oblivious Imperial officers absorb and take in the beauty that is The Eye. On the ground herself, Cinta witnesses The Eye and is likely hoping Vel and the other rebels were able to escape.

Due to Nemik’s wound, they have to land to get their partner some medical attention. While he is being treated, Skeen goes to Cassian privately and throws out the idea of splitting the credits 50/50 and leaving Vel and Nemik.

Andor shoots him for this but only after he learns of Skeen’s hideout location. Cassian takes this information to Vel.

She denies Skeen’s betrayal at first but a part of her knows it is true. Andor just wants the credits he was owed so he can be on his way.

Vel lets him leaves after handing him the recently deceased Nemik’s manifesto, that the young rebel wanted Clem to have.

The episode ends with a taste of how The Empire will react given Vel and her rebels’ attack on Aldhani. At the Imperial Security Bureau, Dedra Meero and her fellow agents are being instructed to prepare for a big investigation.

Senator Mon Mothma receives the news when she is speaking at the senate. Finally, Luthen Rael hears about it the next morning and laughs as he is filled with joy knowing his team was successful in their heist.
