Zootopia+ Season 1 Episode 5 recap – So You Think You Can Prance
Officer Clawhauser is perhaps the biggest Gazelle fan in the world! When he finds out there is a contest where the winners become her backup dancers, he knows he has to try.
Trouble is he needs a dancer partner. He makes a call about an emergency at the stadium requiring backup.
Officer Bogo arrives, completely oblivious to what is actually happening. The two get dressed and wait their turn while other dancing duos fail.
Before it is the duo’s turn, Clawhauser finally confesses as to what is going on. Chief Bogo is angered, refusing to go on stage.
Clawhauser tries and fails before the judges of So You Think You Can Prance and Gazelle herself. Suddenly Chief Bogo returns, and the two wow the judges.
They win but alas, this was all a dream. Clawhauser wakes up, when suddenly Chief Bogo calls him into his office.
It seems Chief Bogo is also a huge Gazelle fan.
Zootopia+ Season 1 Episode 6 recap – Dinner Rush
Sam is a pro at her job. She’s quick, attentive, and does everything she can to please everyone.
She’s honestly the ideal waitress. Most of all, Sam’s looking forward to attending the Gazelle concert that evening, having saved for months for tickets.
The evening continues without any issue until sloths Flash and Priscilla arrive. Worried that she’ll be late for the concert, Sam puts most of her attention on the sloths to get them in and out as fast as she can.
Unfortunately, this causes her to lose track of her other tables as guests begin to get angry. Every minute that passes makes Sam worry even more until finally she erupts.
She’s trying to make everyone happy but failing at every turn and no one seems to have an ounce of sympathy for her. As she has her outburst, Flash is proposing to Priscilla.
She says yes, and everyone congratulates the couple. In that moment Sam forgets about the concert as she was present for something extra special.
She tends to the couple only to find out they are in a hurry to see Gazelle. As Officer Judy and Nick pull over a speeding car, they find Flash behind the wheel and a terrified Sam in the backseat.
Zootopia+ Season 1 Episodes 5 and 6 review
As Zootopia+ season 1 concludes, I can honestly say this series was a Disney win! Will more content like this be available on Disney Plus in the future?
I’d like to think so! I’d gladly watch another season of Zootopia+ as well as a whole season of The Real Rodents of Little Rodentia.
After watching episodes 5 and 6 of the show, it honestly reminds me why Zootopia itself was such a hit. All of the characters are fun, lovable, and a joy to watch.
It’s hard to choose a favorite character because all of them are great! I was really bummed when Clawhauser’s dream to be Gazelle’s backup dancer was a dream.
I had such high hopes he’d win and travel the world with her. But I liked the message that even though it was a dream he wasn’t sad or disappointed.
He simply enjoyed it and was ready to move on with his day. Sam’s episode thankfully had a happy ending, but I felt truly bad for how she was treated.
Everyone knows she’s a hardworking waitress, including her boss. Yet the second she has one bad evening; everyone is ready to turn on her.
Seriously? It’s tragic to see how no one appreciated her except Flash and Priscilla.
Sam will still get to see Gazelle but I’m hoping she either gets a new job or puts her foot down demanding she be treated better.
