IGN has some casting and character information for season 4 of Amazon Prime’s The Boys. Two new characters will be joining the dark superhero comedic drama: Sister Sage, played by Susan Heyward, and Firecracker, played by Valorie Curry.

For better or worse, there is practically zero information on these characters, Sister Sage and Firecracker. What can be said is that much like Gunpowder from the recent season, Firecracker actually will be carrying a firearm.

While we don’t even know what superpowers these characters have, season 3 made clear that guns were a threat to The Boys. Granted, Billy Butcher ultimately took care of Gunpowder in a definitive way, but that doesn’t mean Firecracker will necessarily have a similar fate.

Then again, Supersonic from last season barely ever displayed any of his powers (especially not in any meaningful way). It’s always possible that a character will not just be there for action scenes.

The point is, we just don’t know what to expect here, and that’s okay.

What can we tell you about these new actors for The Boys?

In addition to a career in theater, Valorie Curry might be known to gamers as a star of the video game Detroit: Become Human, where she plays an android character. She also has appeared in movies like The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Blair Witch (not the original film, but the 2016 follow up), and TV series’ such as The Following, House of Lies, The Tick, and The Lost Symbol.

Also, pop punk fans might recognize her from the Blink-182 music video for “After Midnight,” released in 2012. In The Tick, she played the character of Dot Everest who had the relatively minor yet useful superpower of seeing seconds into the future.

Susan Heyward has appeared in movies like the 2015 re-make of Poltergeist, Radium Girls, and TV series’ including Law & Order, 30 Rock, The Following (which Curry also appeared in), Powers, Vinyl, and Orange is the New Black. On stage, she has appeared in The Oedipus Cycle, Sabrina Fair, The Trip to Bountiful, and the multi-Tony Award-winning play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Though we don’t know what her character will be like on The Boys, both Heyward and Curry are listed in the “Main Cast” category on Wikipedia’s “List of The Boys Characters” page (Wikipedia lacks a perfect reputation but is nevertheless sometimes correct).

What else can we expect from season 4 of The Boys?

Regarding casting, it has been established that Nathan Mitchell will be returning as a new incarnation of Black Noir. Though it’s not clear if he’ll be similar to the “silent but violent” character we know and love from seasons past.

It’s also believed that Cameron Crovetti will play an even bigger role in season 4, as the increasingly manipulated son of Homelander. Billy and The Boys may feel pressure to remove him from his devilish dad’s grimy guardianship.

It’s been speculated by Screen Rant and others that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is supposed to play the character of Tek Knight in season 4. Known for playing Negan in The Walking Dead, Morgan could surely pull off a weird character like Tek Knight, who in the comic is apparently a Batman-like character with sexually deviant tendencies.

That being said, IMDb only lists him as appearing in one episode of the series, so, if accurate, that would mean he won’t likely be a regular in season 4. Could he appear more in future seasons?

That remains to be seen.
